Green Tea

Genmaicha

In green tea the leaves are picked, allowed to dry, heat treated to stop oxidation, rolled, twisted and finally dried.

When steeping green tea it is important to use water at the correct temperature (about 180 degrees). If the water is too hot, you will “cook” the leaves and this will make the tea taste bitter. So for that perfect cup of green tea, use water about 180 degrees and steep the leaves for about 3 minutes.

Our wonderful green teas are available for purchase on-line.
