Advantages of Taking Tea

There Are Many Advantages of Taking Tea

This is a hectic world. We multi-task every part of our lives from talking on the phone while unloading the dishwasher to even making dentist appointments on the cell phone while driving our kids to basketball practice. We do not take time out for “us”. Often there isn’t any time to even just think. When we stop and pause, we rejuvenate ourselves.

Taking time out for tea does exactly that. It relaxes your mind, replenishes your spirit and nurtures your soul. In addition there is new research about the health benefits and advantages of taking tea. The work in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition dispels the common belief that tea dehydrates. Tea not only rehydrates as well as water does, but it can also protect against heart disease and some cancers, UK nutritionists found. Experts believe flavonoids are the key ingredient in tea that promote health. According to the BBC News, public health nutritionist Dr Carrie Ruxton, and colleagues at Kings College London, looked at published studies on the health effects of tea consumption. They found clear evidence that drinking three to four cups of tea a day can cut the chances of having a heart attack.

Research shows that the advantages of taking tea is good for you whether it’s white, green or black.

While many specific tea health benefits are being researched by professionals around the globe, most all agree that tea is good for you.

New research is being done on the specific benefits of drinking Pu-erh tea. In France a blind study was conducted with 500 patients with advanced cholesterol conditions, usually controlled with medication. Half of the controlled group consumed 3-4 cups of Pu-erh tea daily, while the rest of the participants were given something else. After a 30-day period the results showed that drinking Pu-erh on a regular basis could significantly lower cholesterol and further research confirmed that Pu-erh was as effective as the most advanced cholesterol lowering medications available.
